Rain falling like a million tears
Onto a dark and desolate land
Washing away a lingering soul
A feeling of dread devastates all
Many search the horizon for hope
Finding nothing but darkness
Putrid clouds of smoke fill my lungs
My hands covered in crimson blood
None of which belongs to me
The taste of death lingers in my mouth
Sounds of fear pierce my eardrums
Feelings of remorse crash into my soul
Causing me to fall to the ground
My vision blurs, my heart stops
I fall into a permanent paralysis
